Non-traditional Boarding:
Most of the boarders come as one of the family boarding. They have a large 16x16 tiled room to stay in when I am on errands. The rest of the time they get to run about the house with me and my dogs.  They can choose to sleep anywhere at night as long as there are no arguments.  The dogs each have a designated area where they will be left alone if they choose.  My dogs choose to go in their crates when they need some space or a nap.
They also have unlimited access to the playground.  All dogs are always supervised when together.  There are only two main rules when new dogs come to visit:
  1. No profanity, yelling, or back-talk (no fighting, growling, or snapping)
  2. Running, barking, jumping, spinning, sleeping, chewing, horse-playing, etc. are all expected

Traditional Boarding:

The outdoor kennels are only used in the summer time. They are completely covered, private runs with cement floors and a door into a small indoor area.  Each kennel run can be opened to a large, fenced grassy area for each dog to exercise and move around.
The indoor kennels are for wintertime use and extremely hot days in the summer. They consist of individual 10x10x6 foot pens that are heated in the winter and air conditioned in the summer. They are located on the bottom level of my house with windows providing lots of natural light. The have doggie beds and your toys for entertainment. This is usually a good place to start if you aren't comfortable having your dog interact with other dogs.
The facilities at BorderHauss Kennels are built so that no dog needs to leave a fenced area or come in contact with other dogs if scared, intimidated, or dominant.  This means that going outside from the house or indoor kennels is a direct route to the back yard via multiple doors.  This is very convenient for a dog that is not social or comfortable with other dogs.

The outdoor kennels are directly connected to the fenced areas and all three fenced areas are adjacent with gates. Some of the areas are six foot fencing if climbing and jumping is your dog's favorite activity. Our fencing is also toy-breed proof. My 3.5 lb Chihuahua is the escape artist of the family and cannot get out of this yard!

Please feel free to schedule a visit to come and see the facilities. Borderhauss Kennels is fully insured.
